For Ben Solo, the road to psytrance began quite literally as a journey.

In 2016, the Canadian artist and his best friend set off to explore Asia by bicycle. A spontaneous stop in Goa eventually brought them to HillTop for New Year's Eve — and gave Ben his first encounter with psytrance. It became a turning point. The music followed him home and quickly developed into an obsession.

He launched the Ben Solo project in 2018, initially as a DJ before moving into production. His sound lives somewhere between light and darkness: twisted, elastic and deeply groovy, built to pull the dancefloor into complete immersion.

Ben approaches his sets as journeys of their own. You may know where they begin, but their real story only becomes clear once you return.

Alongside Exen, he founded Montreal-based Alchemists Pact Records in 2019, followed by the first edition of Khůmeia Festival in 2020. His path has since led him into a new chapter as part of the Forestdelic Records family.

This September, that journey brings Ben Solo from Canada to the Swedish forest as Forestdelic Records joins us in celebrating ten years of CLH Records at Resonans.
